On April 10, 2026, the CNIPA issued Announcement No. 673. To implement the provisions of Article 6ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property acceded to by China, and in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph of Article 10 of the Trademark Law of the People’s Republic of China, the CNIPA has incorporated 91 markings notified to it by the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) on March 31, 2025, into official mark protection.

Among them are 78 items of state emblems, national flags, official inspection seals and other state official markings, as well as 13 items of emblems, flags, names, name abbreviations and other symbols of intergovernmental international organizations.
