May 8, 2026 — To further enhance the convenience of international trademark opposition filings, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) officially launched its online filing system for international trademark oppositions today.
Effective immediately, trademark agencies and domestic opposition applicants can log into the CNIPA online trademark application service system and handle relevant matters online through the “International Trademark Application – International Opposition” section.
The system offers comprehensive functions and supports fully electronic processing, including:
- Submission and withdrawal of opposition applications
- Obtaining copies of opposition materials, filing and managing defenses
- Submitting corrections and supplementary evidence
