Requirements and essential documents for Singaporeans to apply for Chinese trademark registration on their own

Singaporeans should entrust legally established trademark agencies to handle trademark applications in China.

Singaporeans who have a regular residence in China can handle it themselves. For those who go directly to the Trademark Registration Hall, the following documents shall be submitted: fill in and print the Trademark Registration Application Form in accordance with the regulations and have it signed by the applicant, the trademark pattern, the photocopy of the applicant’s identity document, the Foreigner’s Permanent Residence Permit issued by the public security department or the photocopy of the Foreigner’s Residence Permit valid for more than one year. For specific requirements on trademark registration application and trademark design, please refer to the “China Trademark Network>Trademark Application>Application Guide” section.

Foreigners with permanent residence in China can also submit applications through the trademark online application system. Please refer to the “Online Application” section of China Trademark Network for specific procedures.
