China completely ceased issuing paper trademark registration certificates effective January 1, 2022. According to the CNIPA Announcement on Adjusting the Issuance Method for Trademark Registration Certificates (No. 453):
- For applications submitted in paper form, the CNIPA will mail a Notification for Collecting the Trademark Registration Certificate to registrants. Registrants may then access and download the electronic trademark registration certificate via the designated URL and retrieval code at the China Trademark Office website.
- For electronically filed applications, registrants may obtain the electronic trademark registration certificate through the Trademark Online Service System.
The electronic trademark registration certificate can be freely viewed, downloaded, and printed. The China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) no longer issues paper trademark registration certificates.
