Yes, applying for renewal of a China trademark during the grace period will incur additional official fees. Besides the standard trademark renewal acceptance fee of RMB 450, a late fee of RMB 225 is required for renewal applications submitted within the grace period.

The trademark cannot be directly renewed because the company has been deregistered. To renew a Chinese trademark registered under a deregistered company, you must first assign the trademark to a new rights holder.
Can a Chinese trademark registered under the company name still be renewed if it has been expired for five months?
Yes, it can be renewed. Trademarks can still be submitted for renewal as long as they have not been expired for more than six months. However, compared to renewing a trademark that is still within its validity period, this will incur an additional late renewal fee.
